By creating a CardDex account, downloading the CardDex iOS app, or using carddex.gg ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Danny Bartok (C-corp formation pending in North Carolina; entity name will be updated upon incorporation). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and CardDex. Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
CardDex is a trading card collection tracker, market price tool, and collector community platform. It allows you to track your TCG card collections (Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Rift Bound, and others), scan physical cards to identify them and view market prices, manage want lists and collection value over time, and access sold listing data, price history, and grading tools (Pro).
Price data is for informational purposes only. Market prices and card valuations displayed in CardDex are sourced from third-party data providers and reflect past market activity. They are not guarantees of current or future value. Do not make financial decisions based solely on prices shown in CardDex. CardDex is not a marketplace and does not facilitate card sales.
CardDex is available as a web application at carddex.gg and as a native iOS app on the Apple App Store.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (16 in the European Economic Area or UK). By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, all activity that occurs under your account, providing accurate information when registering, and notifying us immediately at support@carddex.gg if you suspect unauthorized account access.
You may not operate multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits, abuse trials, or evade suspensions.
Free plan: CardDex is free to use with core features including collection tracking, want lists, and limited daily card scans.
CardDex Pro unlocks unlimited card scans, Buying Buddy (live price comparison during scanning), price history and sold listing data, the Grading Tool, Trade Binder, Daily Brief, and all future Pro features.
Pricing:
Free trial: New Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will be charged the applicable plan price on day 8 unless you cancel before then. One trial per account, ever.
Billing: All payments are processed by Stripe. CardDex does not store your full payment card details.
Cancellation: Cancel any time from Settings → Manage Subscription. Monthly: access continues until end of current billing month, no prorated refunds. Annual: access continues until end of the annual period, no prorated refunds except as required by law.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change Pro pricing with 30 days' advance email notice to existing subscribers.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, Pro access will be suspended until payment is resolved.
When you use CardDex's card scanning features:
By using any scanning feature, you consent to this image storage. You can request deletion of your scan images at any time by emailing support@carddex.gg. If you prefer not to have scan images stored, use manual search to add cards instead — no images are captured during manual search.
The CardDex iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without prior notice.
You retain ownership of content you create in CardDex — your collection data, notes, and photos of your cards. By uploading content, you grant CardDex a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you and, in the case of scan images, for service improvement as described in Section 5.
You represent that you own or have the right to upload any content you add to CardDex, and that it does not violate any third party's rights.
The CardDex name, logo, app design, UI, and codebase are owned by CardDex and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without written permission.
Card names, artwork, set logos, and game mechanics are the property of their respective owners: Pokémon (Nintendo / Creatures Inc. / GAME FREAK), One Piece TCG (Bandai), Disney Lorcana (Disney / Ravensburger), Rift Bound (Riot Games). CardDex displays this content under fair use for informational and collection tracking purposes and does not claim ownership of any third-party card content.
DMCA / Copyright: If you believe content on CardDex infringes your copyright, contact support@carddex.gg with your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, where the infringing material appears, and a statement of good-faith belief.
By you: Delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@carddex.gg.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, failed payment not resolved after 30 days, legal requirements, or abuse that harms other users or our infrastructure. For non-severe violations we will generally provide notice before terminating.
After termination: Your collection data is deleted within 30 days. Financial records are retained as required by law. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDDEX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT MARKET PRICES DISPLAYED ARE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL DECISION, OR THAT CARD IDENTIFICATION WILL BE ACCURATE IN ALL CONDITIONS.
Price data is provided for informational use only and does not represent actual market value or guarantee transaction prices.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDDEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES BASED ON PRICE DATA DISPLAYED IN THE APP OR DECISIONS MADE BASED ON CARD IDENTIFICATIONS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CARDDEX IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
Informal resolution first: Contact us at support@carddex.gg and give us 30 days to resolve the issue before filing any legal claim.
Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
Venue: Any disputes not resolved informally shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
No class actions: Any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
EU consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable EU consumer protection law.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
